KM BUILDERS Design / Build Process
KM BUILDERS practices a successful CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT process. This enables you to work with a design consultant to plan all the details of your project from BEGINNING TO END. Your design is TRULY custom!
Phase 1:Initial Contact
Starting with a phone interview, a KM BUILDERS Design Consultant will discuss your ideas, priorities, and wishes for your project.
We will offer you references, and guide you through our Concept Development Process.
We will also meet with you in person to further elaborate on your project.
These discussions culminate with a signed Concept Development Agreement, which is the “OK” to proceed with the design phase.
Phase 2: Concept Design
Upon approval of the Concept Development Agreement, we expand our previous discussions into a complete design concept which contains the following:
Phase 3: Build Phase
Once the design concept is completed, and a formal proposal is presented and signed, KM will begin the build phase of your project.
The build phase begins with a Pre-Construction meeting, and the KM team thoroughly goes over the entire project with you and any of our tradesmen necessary.
We complete all the steps needed to begin construction, from Building Permits to Certificate of Occupancy.
We assist you in making good decisions about your interior and exterior designs & finishes, (with the aid of our knowledgeable craftsmen and designers). We offer an endless variety of finishes and materials in many price ranges, so we can compliment YOUR style and work within your budget.
During the build portion we have experienced IN HOUSE project managers that are available at your project, ensuring it runs smoothly. KM BUILDERS has a construction meeting with the President, Keith Moehle, and the project managers EVERY morning. For our clients this means better quality control, a much shorter construction time, and a BEAUTIFUL home!
